Ingrid & Lars

Ingrid & Lars are a Norwegian newly married couple who held their wedding ceremony at the Norwegian Embassy in Copenhagen. After the formalities, they chose to celebrate their wedding day with a private photo session around the Danish capital. Their shared love of architecture guided the plan: we photographed their wedding portraits at two of the city’s most striking architectural sites, Rosenborg Castle and Christiansborg Palace.

Over the course of about two hours we wandered between these historic settings, finding intimate corners and grand facades that suited their quiet, elegant energy. A dramatic, ever-changing sky added a cinematic quality to the session — heavy clouds rolled across the city, breaking just enough to let beautiful light fall across the couple and the carefully composed surroundings. We used the contrasts between shadow and light, ornate details and clean lines, to create images that reflect both the romance of the day and Ingrid and Lars’s appreciation for refined architecture.

The result was a series of portraits that feel timeless yet distinctly of place — a visual celebration of their partnership framed by Copenhagen’s rich architectural character.
